Questions Parents Ask
-
You know your child best. If you’ve noticed your infant or child struggling with age-appropriate daily activities, play, movement, regulation, feeding, or meeting developmental milestones, occupational therapy may help.
You don’t need to wait for a diagnosis to seek support. Many families reach out simply because something doesn’t feel quite right or they want guidance to help their child thrive. Early support can make a meaningful difference.
-
My current clinical focus is supporting infants, toddlers, and young children during the earliest years of development.
Occupational therapy may support children experiencing:
Sensory processing differences
Developmental delays
Emotional regulation and co-regulation difficulties
Feeding and early self-feeding concerns
Play skill development
Body awareness, coordination, and motor planning challenges
Fine and visual motor challenges
Difficulties with transitions or participating in everyday routines
If you’re unsure whether your child is a good fit, I’d be happy to talk through your concerns.

Metta Pediatric Therapy was created to provide thoughtful, individualized care that meets children and families where they are—both developmentally and emotionally.
Services are provided in your child’s natural environment, allowing therapy to become part of everyday routines rather than something that only happens during an appointment. I believe meaningful progress happens through regulation, connection, and play, with parents and caregivers as essential partners in the therapy process.
By intentionally maintaining a smaller caseload, I’m able to provide personalized care, collaborative communication, and treatment that is guided by your family’s goals—not a one-size-fits all approach.
-
Private pay allows therapy to be guided by your child’s needs rather than insurance limitations.
This means we have greater flexibility to determine the frequency and focus of services, spend meaningful time together during evaluations, and tailor treatment to your family’s goals. It also allows for collaboration, parent coaching, and individualized care without the constraints that insurance may place on treatment.
My goal is to provide care that is responsive, relationship-centered, and focused on what matters most to your family.

Metta Pediatric Therapy currently operates as a private-pay practice while insurance credentialing is in progress.
A detailed superbill can be provided for families who wish to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance company. Coverage varies by plan, so I encourage families to contact their insurance provider to learn more about their out-of-network benefits.

Your first visit is designed to help me understand your child as a whole—not just a list of challenges.
We’ll discuss your concerns and goals, review developmental history, observe your child through play and everyday activities, and complete formal or informal assessments as appropriate. Together, we’ll develop a plan that supports meaningful participation in your child’s daily life.
Therapy sessions are individualized, engaging, and play-based while targeting the skills that matter most to your family.
-
Absolutely.
Parents and caregivers are an important part of the therapy process. You’ll receive education, coaching, and practical strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines so you feel confident supporting your child’s development between sessions.
My goal is not only to help your child make progress but also to empower your family with the knowledge and tools to continue that progress long after our sessions end.
-
Progress is measured in ways that are meaningful to your child and your family.
In addition to clinical observation, caregiver input, and standardized assessments when appropriate, we look at how skills are carrying over into everyday life. Because therapy takes place in your child's natural environment, progress often shows up during the routines that matter most to your family—whether that's mealtimes, dressing, play, bath time, transitions, sleep, or participating more confidently in daily activities.
Sometimes progress is easy to see, like learning a new skill. Other times, it looks like fewer meltdowns, recovering more quickly after becoming overwhelmed, needing less support, trying new experiences, or feeling more confident navigating everyday routines.
My goal is to help children build skills that support meaningful participation in daily life while empowering caregivers with practical strategies that continue long after our sessions together.

Children learn best in the environments where they live, play, and interact every day.
Providing therapy in your home allows me to observe your child’s natural routines, tailor strategies to your family’s lifestyle, and support skill developmental where it matters most.
